The core working principle of a sewage trailer pump is to realize rapid extraction, transportation and discharge of impurity-containing sewage through the linkage of a self-priming pump structure and a power system. Its integrated trailer chassis design meets the needs of flexible transfer operations, and the core workflow is divided into 4 stages:
1.Self-priming Priming Stage
Before the first start-up, it is necessary to fill the pump chamber and water inlet pipe with priming water to discharge the air inside the chamber. Some high-configured models are equipped with a vacuum priming device, which does not require manual watering. After starting, it can automatically extract the air in the pipeline to form a negative pressure environment. When the pressure in the pump chamber is lower than the external atmospheric pressure, the liquid in the sewage tank is pressed into the water inlet pipe and enters the pump body under the action of air pressure difference.
2.Power Conveying Stage
The engine (electric motor/diesel engine) drives the pump shaft to rotate at high speed, driving the impeller to work. The impeller blades push the sewage in the pump chamber to rotate at high speed, generating centrifugal force: the sewage is thrown to the edge of the impeller, collected into the volute of the pump body, the flow rate gradually decreases, and the pressure increases accordingly. Under the action of pressure difference, the high-pressure sewage is transported to the designated discharge point (such as sewage treatment plant, sewage pipe network) through the water outlet pipe.
For sewage containing solid particles and fiber impurities, the pump body adopts wear-resistant impeller + large-channel runner design, which can effectively prevent clogging and ensure smooth transportation.
3.Continuous Operation Stage
After the pump completes the first round of water delivery, a small amount of liquid remains on the inner wall of the pump chamber. During subsequent start-ups, the residual liquid can quickly form a sealed environment, and realize self-priming continuous flow with the self-priming structure, eliminating the need for repeated priming and improving operation efficiency. The trailer chassis is equipped with tires and traction devices, which can be towed to different operation sites by trucks, suitable for mobile needs of municipal sewage discharge, construction site waterlogging, emergency rescue and other scenarios.
4.Anti-backflow Protection Stage
Some models are equipped with a foot valve (check valve) at the inlet of the water pipe, which can prevent the residual liquid in the pump from flowing back to the sewage tank when shut down, avoiding re-watering during the next start-up. The outlet pipeline can be equipped with a gate valve to adjust the flow rate or cut off the pipeline during shut down to ensure the safety of equipment maintenance.
